• Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative program developed for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in Classical Ballet. PBT is taught using an exercise ball, small ball and theraband and helps students to improve their core stability, weight placement and alignment. During ballet training it is often difficult for students to feel what muscles initiate the correct ballet alignment, however as the exercise ball is continually mobile under the students’ body, it gives the students a sense of posture and weight placement whilst feeling each correct muscle group. We highly recommend all Ballet students in grade 1 and above to study PBT in conjunction with their ISTD syllabus training.
